A Baby, A Puppy and A Ring || Brittana

It had been a couple of weeks since Santana’s suspicions had been confirmed, since she and Brittany learned that they were having a boy…or at least a child with a penis. It had also been a couple of weeks since the two of them had argued over the decision. They hadn’t really talked much since then and there was an almost palpable tension between the two of them that both of Santana’s parents had noticed and spoke up about, but Santana’s only reply was to shake her head and continue with whatever it was she was doing. However, as the days passed and the tension became too much, Santana began to think more and more about the ring that her mother had given her to propose to Brittany.

Of course, she knew that Brittany would probably say no if she proposed to her now so she had to figure out a way to get this tension between them…gone. She did make sure that she went and got a cocker spaniel puppy that she kept in her car that was parked in the garage and, after making sure that the garage was getting enough cool air, Santana headed up the stairs to look for Brittany. The blonde was reading a pregnancy book in the living room and Santana slowly walked towards her and sat on the couch next to her.

"Reading anything good?" Santana asked before she pursed her lips and reached for Brittany’s hand, pulling it away from the book. "I…Brittany, we should talk," Santana said, swallowing the lump in her throat as she turned her body so that she was facing Brittany. "About what we talked about…in the doctor’s office…we should talk about it." Taking a deep breath, Santana ran her free hand through her hair. "This is a decision we should make together and…we should talk about it."
